AmeraMex International, Inc. was incorporated on May 29, 1990 in Nevada. The Company is a provider of new and refurbished heavy equipment to logistics companies, infrastructure construction, logging companies, US Military, and forestry conservation organizations—both nationally and internationally.
The Company has agreements with US-based ASV to market their line of new mastication equipment; with US manufacturers Taylor Machine Works to market their line of new heavy-duty forklifts and empty/loaded container handlers; and Terex Heavy Equipment to market their line if new front-end loaders, scrapers and excavators.
As a provider of new equipment, for sale, rent or lease, AmeraMex CEO Lee Hamre quickly recognized the advantage of purchasing used equipment from customers and other companies and reselling it. The company has a large equipment refurbishing facility in Northern California where it refurbishes millions of dollars of used equipment and resells to customers in the US and internationally.
AmeraMex has three business units: Hamre Equipment Inc., Hamre Heavy Haul; and Hamre Parts & Service.
The Company maintains an inventory of front-end loaders, scrapers, excavators, backhoes, rock trucks, container handlers, log loaders, forklifts, wheel loaders, and mastication equipment.
Approximately 80 percent of AmeraMex sales are made up of refurbished equipment. To facilitate these sales, the Company has a large equipment facility refurbishing millions of dollars of used equipment. These facilities and service department are complete with steam cleaning services, sand blasting, a very busy paint shop and a large parts inventory. The equipment is sold to customers in the US and internationally.
While AmeraMex supplies equipment to many different industries, 30 percent of the Company’s revenue is generated from sales of new and refurbished container handlers to port-side logistic companies and distribution centers throughout the US.
The increase of imports and exports has also created a demand for EPA -approved forklifts and container handlers. In 2018, US trade with foreign countries was $5.2 trillion. This was broken down into $2.3 trillion in exports and $2.9 trillion in imports. The US is the world’s third-largest exporter, after China and the EU. The US is the world’s second largest importer after the EU.
In addition to equipment for handling shipping containers, AmeraMex has an extensive equipment inventory for infrastructure construction, forestry conservation, commercial construction, farming, and the lumber industry.
Infrastructure projects often require the rental or lease of heavy equipment. Currently, rental/leased equipment contributes approximately 20 percent of the Company’s annual revenue. There is a demand for construction equipment and AmeraMex has expanded its rental fleet of heavy equipment with Terex front-end loaders, scrapers excavators, backhoes and rock trucks.
The global heavy construction equipment market is expected to reach $90.4 billion by 2025 at a CAGR of 5.4 percent, according to a new report by Grand View Research, Inc. Increased investment of infrastructure will be a major factor in driving market growth.
